anyway this is Xenoblade 2 Pyra and Mythra, who are also DLC Fighters in Smash Ultimate. I personally would pick Pyra.

Pyra, though I'd go pneuma if she's an option

I prefer Pyra's personality, but I'm weak against blondes so Mythra wins in looks.

Well now, it's been a hot minute since I've seen a Xenoblade 2 post here. And since I have hundreds of hours into the franchise... Spoiler warning for what's up ahead.

Cracks Knuckles

Pyra is everything Mythra wishes she could be, she was unconsciously created to fix the flaws that Mythra unconsciously knew she had. After the unintentional death and destruction she caused, she essentially 'killed' herself and created someone who she deep down wanted to be.

Pyra is a lot of things that Mythra isn't. Mythra was never good with people, so Pyra is sweeter and easier to get along with. Mythra couldn't control her power and destroyed continents unintentionally in the Aegis war with Malos, so Pyra is more subdued and she's in full control of her flames all of the time. Mythra isn't a very good cook... Seriously, the woman would probably find a way to burn a bowl of cereal... And Pyra is naturally a good cook and even doubles as a lighter.

Mythra's insecurities are the reason Pyra exists, and yet, over the course of the story you can watch in real time as the differences between her and Pyra start to close a little bit. Sure she's more feisty, but you get to watch her form bonds with the party and eventually with the help of Rex she finds purpose in going on in life. She's a wonderful character who's character growth is constantly overshadowed by a few anime-trope scenes that take place in the infamous chapter 4.

So, if you choose Pyra, it basically confirms Mythra's fears that despite how she's grown as a person, you still prefer who she created as her 'Ideal self'. And that's a little sad when you think about it...

I choose Mythra.

I played it to death also, got all the blades, items, quests, etc. Probably the only game I ever bothered to 100% finish... and considering the BS from Ursula's quest alone... that is no small feat.

The thing that really induced despair was acing all levels of Tiger! Tiger! Since I actually hate that minigame, and I now have PTSD simply from going near it... since "acing" it means doing no hit/no kill runs... which is near impossible on the last 2 levels.

I spent more time in that god forsaken minigame than in any other aspect of the game itself... and all I have to show for it is Tora being a UNIT that can solo the whole game if he wanted.

Anyways, I chose Mythra simply because something about Pyra's personality would always irritate me... I distinctly dislike Pyra compared to Mythra, and Pneuma was mostly a joke... since she's really just Mythra without her Tsundere qualities.

As someone who's never played any Xenoblade games, I'm gonna have to base it off of the few clips I've seen.

I'd say Mythra is a little better looking than Pyra. In addition to this, I feel like Pyra would be a little bit boring in the long run. Ultimately, I prefer Mythra overall.

I haven’t played Xenoblade 2, but I’m not super into Tsunderes so I’m going with Pyra. I like her design and sweeter personality more.
