Search for post using image URL/filename?
Is there any way to find the original post given the filename via the url from 'view image' or 'save image'? The filename seems to be the image's hash, which is promising as hashes are almost always unique.

When you say the "original post" I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. Reposts on this site that have been deleted? Reposts on other sites from here? Reposts on here from other sites? Read back your writing to see if someone could figure out what you're saying without knowing what you're talking about, optimally all writing should be turring-friendly.

Ummmm...very much doubt there is a way. The site can't search by a image's hash if that's what you're asking.

Best way to find an image's post would just be to do a reverse image search with Google Images. That's how I usually do it.

I definitely need this to be a way to search someday in the future, since I accidentally saved over an image that I got from here and have no idea what it used to look like, just the image hash.

The truth
THERE IS A WAY! Type md5:XXXXXXX in the search, where XXXXXXX is whatever the hash of the image is.
