What's your opinions?

1. No child exploitation. Good.
2. No child abuse. Good.
3. No bad things in general. The last 2 on the list (racial slurs, or hate speech) are a little worrying since that can include many common words and phrases. Interesting that other slurs aren't included as well, just racial ones.
4. Typical legal shit that you should be abiding by anyway.
5. Who doesn't love vague weaselly terms ready to be exploited by bad actors?
 - "is patently offensive in light of community
standards where you are located" - That can vary so wildly and can change over time. Is there a grandfather clause in place or are you just fucked if something you posted 5 years ago is considered offensive now?
 - "or where such content may be accessed or distributed" - So basically everywhere...
 - "lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value, or otherwise violates any applicable obscenity laws, rules or regulations" - That is very open to interpretation. Some people will think your shitting dicknipples drawing has artistic merit while others won't.

I don't use that site or live in those countries so this doesn't affect me at all.

I dunno all the rules seem fine, the latter few are probably worded so loosely because shit like that is a case by case sorta thing. But like, just be a normal person and you'll be fine lol.

Some of the rules are fine, others look very open to exploitation based on the site's whims. The slow but steady sanitation of the internet creeps ever forward.

Pixiv, in that same announcement, provides you an easy method to work around that issue by informing you that you can change your region settings in affected areas, which is what I did. This is just a formality to placate western corporations and governments, though it'd obviously be better if it weren't implemented to begin with.
