Basically, what sorts of character designs attract your attention?

For me, in terms of SFW character designs... suits. I like seeing badass dudes that can fight in a full business suit. It just screams 'style' to me.

(may or may not be related to a recently revealed as of this writing Tekken character)

I though Danger Mouse's combo of turtleneck sweater and (one assumes stretchy) slacks was a good look that didn't get in the way of any athletic pursuits yet was appropriate for most occasions.

When I think of suits on a character I can't help but think of Penfold, Danger mouse's perpetually rumpled hamster sidekick-

i have a weak spot for suits/officewear and/or labcoats. suits have a classy, powerful feel, but in terms of officewear it can also speak to conformity and submission. neuron activation. as for labcoats i just think evil scientists are hot and it kind of falls into the officewear category. also ties being used as leashes.

outside of clothing, i also like characters with "strong shape language" i think is the right term? stuff like the powerpuff girls or my life as a teenage robot where the characters have very strict shapes and angles that make up their body

Honestly, I don't have a favorite style. I like every style really. But my favorite, if I wanted to choose, would be women with long brown hair, in tight clothes/overalls in the so-called heroic pose.

One of my favorite designs is badass women in general. But more specifically, badass women with a sword and wearing some kind of medieval fantasy garment. Extra points if they're buff and have some notable scars on her body. Even more points if they're portrayed in a dominant pose and/or with an "i don't care" face. Not easy to find designs that hit all these spots, but this'd be is one of them:
