Artist Comment: Sheriff O'Leary always felt sorry for the divorcees and single men among his Deputies, who worked through Christmas to allow the married men to be with their families; even though it meant them having to put up with the abuse from the Hookers arrested on Christmas Eve.
That's why he always allowed the working Deputies to pull some girls out of the cells in the early hours of Christmas Day for an informal party at the Sheriff's home for the boys who worked through the holidays for our community.
The hookers were all released at sunrise without charge, with their night's work paid for by the Sheriff.
