It's bound to happen with everyone at some point. Even if Rosa is pretty much a prodigy, just a single "bad day" is enough to change her life for good. But she got it coming towards her... I mean, no one forced her to not heal her Pokemon between her battles after all. She was luck in the end though.
The one that challenged her for a battle was a Hiker, that knows very well the region and had a campfire nearby, offers to the young trainer to rest there so she could make sure that her Pokemon would be totally recovered by the morning.
The girl was so relieved that was possible to see sparks in her eyes.
After that night though, Rosa pretty much learned one very important lesson:
Good girls always needs to obey their daddies.
