They had marched for hours under the hot sun. Accustomed to the cool green shades of the jungle, that was their tribes native land, the amazonian capitves suffered not only from the heat scorching this desertlike wasteland. Walking barefooted the innumerable stones and gravel littering the ground caused their soles to burn with the same strength as their sun expossed skin. Once proud warriors, now they were demoted to mere lifestock, fettered and powerless spurred on by their captors. Even though this torturing journey would come to an end, their future fate wasn't far less dreadfull. The slave pits at the border of the desert were always hungry for more meat and once chained to the auction block a live in bondage and suffering was inevitable.
