Zelda was hesitant to wear the traditional Gerudo clothing. In all her life, she’d never worn anything so revealing. As desert dwellers from an all female society, it was customary for Gerudo women to go about topless; a custom she personally didn’t resonate with, but the clothes were giving to her as a gift, a show of good grace between their people and she didn’t want to come across as disrespectful, especially on such an important diplomatic visit. Needless to say the royal guards saw a whole new side of their princess that day.
