@Shy-Griff- Yup, they remember, although it can be a bit fuzzy? Not in the sense that they are forgetting, but more so that they accept their new life, so they don't think too much about it, it just feels like a distant memory for them. That said, who they were as a human, personality wise carries over strongly. An aggressive human as a dryapple will attack anyone who threatens the forest in an instant, where as a dryapple from a kind person may try to persuade the person hurting the forest to stop without going straight to violence.
