Actually, if you play the Tunguska event it's revealed that when the Tunguska explosion happened, Tamamo Vitch was born. When Vitch was born, Nikitich got summoned as part of the counterforce to put her down since she was an immature beast forming. However, due to Nikitich's morals, she couldn't do that, so instead she tried to raise Tamamo Vitch as best she could with the limited time she had. Eventually, Nikitich disappeared and Vitch was left alone, though Nikitch did give her the name "Yaskaya" which is where "Koyanskaya" comes from. The slight inaccuracy is that Nikitich actually identifies as her father since Dobryna Nikitich was a man, but for some reason was summoned as a woman (Fate moment).
TLDR; Nikitich raised Tamamo and gave her a name.

Oh I see, I wasn't able to play Tunguska, thank you for the explanation! Can you now explain to me why Koyanskaya's backstory is locked behind an event?

Well, because Tunguska is related to the main story of FGO ^^
Koyanskaya is a "main" character for the Lostbelt's story arc. Like Douman, it was predictable that she would get an event for her and her "story"
You can call Tunguska like 6.4 chapter since it's happening right after Avalon le Fae and the epilogue of the event is like quite important for the story.
Though i have to say, like Heian Kyo, Tunguska was quite disappointing on the writing part (not the raid part )

Yeah, things kinda just wrapped up Koyanskayas arc without much fanfare. Which was a shame. Anyway I'd still fuck Koyanskaya raw.
