I have very fortunate yet at the same time unfortunate news. They would be dead or unconscious before they even came close to the lava. Lava is so hot and radiates so much heat that they would have came into cardiac arrest before their toes even came into contact with the lava. Assuming they somehow did not pass out because of the extreme heat however, the heat from the lava would have caused extreme and painful blisters on the skin. Thankfully however the shock of this pain would have caused them to pass out. Again, there is a lot of opportunities for these two to pass out and not feel the pain. HOWEVER- if SOMEHOW, by the LOVE OF GOD if that did not make you unconscious, the actual heat of the lava would be so strong that your muscles, nerves and bones would vaporize instantly. Gone. Not even 3rd degree.. 4th degree burns. Gone. Your nerves would be gone before you could even process the immense pain. The only thing that you would feel pain from is the immense heat of the lava... and again, you would probably pass out from the immense pain if your nerves somehow did NOT burn to a crisp before they could send a signal to your brain. All in all, it's not really such a bad way to go as this makes it seem to be. I mean- *yeah*, it's bad- but the two would actually have either passed out or straight up died before they even reached the lava due to cardiac arrest.

WT_femboy and Bulging_Wolf, a quick google search proves this. Lava is so hot that they would have passed out from heat exhaustion and gone into cardiac arrest long before their feet touched the lava. Please don't speak if you don't know what you're talking about, especially on such a topic which is easily understood.
