I think its different for different people, but me personally, its mainly just a fetish that came about from my general interest in what I can best describe as damsel in distress scenarios, that slowly evolved into an interest in the cooking stuff. I suppose its kinda a mix of vore, bondage, and peril kinks, as well as foodplay to an extent since some people really like the preparation that goes into it (like being covered in sauce, having vegetables stuffed in them, apple in the mouth, etc), However, Ive found that for most people it ends up being specifically inspired by old cartoons we watched as kids. For example, Zig and Sharko definitely was a huge contributor to this kink for me I believe. But yeah, personally for me its less of the character getting cooked that I like and more of the danger of the situation, not knowing if the character will be saved or not. Hope this helps clear up a few things!
