^Flyawayniw I feel like there's something going on with him, the only time outside of the sex scenes where he's violent is when someone pushes him into it, and on that last one he seems to immediately pivot away from the sadism to caring about Kanae. Either his emotions are being directly manipulated, or there's a combination of stress and a repressed sadistic nature that's being forced out of him. Personally I favor the latter given how he fantasizes about her, but so long as he still cares about her (he clearly does) and she's alright with him being like that it's fine.
