Most likely a dumb question but the curiosity got the better of me - is a woman still a virgin if they had anal. I always had the idea that a virgin was a guy or a girl who hasn't had sex with someone at all. Maybe I'm wrong or right. What do you guys think?

Losing the virginity is the act of breaking the hymen of a female when she has vaginal penerration with a man. The vagina has a webbing like structure called the hymen. It's a sort of protective membrane inside the vagina. It is placed after the vagins' entrance but not too deep inside. This causes the penis pushing in to break it. This is why a female tends to bleed on her first time and breaking this membrane is what causes the virginity to be lost. This is so to speak the "virginity seal" it also poses a minor force back to the penis so you can tell if you are a woman's first. Because this is a female trait. Virginity really does not apply to males. Also the hymen is not guaranteed to break in other ways. Sports or other intense pelvis/leg activities can break the hymen like athletism, riding a bycicle, contorsion or very stretch leg yoga or excersise poses. And of course vaginal insertions such as fingers or toys.

I'm tired of responses to this like the one Shinky gave. virginity is NOT having engaged in sexual intercourse or interaction with another person.
The idea that a girl can just give BJs and anal and still be a 'virgin' is insane; and yes this applies to males as well. Don't kid yourselves, if you have sex you aren't a virgin anymore.

ShinyKink is right though. Having sex and giving BJs are literally different things. Having sex implies being penetrated and also losing your virginity in case you haven't. You can't lose your virginity, anatomically speaking, by sucking a dick

Gonna weigh in on this one. Sex of any kind counts as losing your virginity. Oral, anal or even a hand job still counts. The idea of staying a virgin by only doing oral or anal is basically lying when you want proof of an unbroken hymen. You can also break the hymen for many reasons other than sex. An accident or even riding a bike can break it so using that as a sign of virginity isn't always a guarantee.
It comes down to whether you want to abstain from sex or want to lie to yourself and call yourself a technical virgin.

The technical classification of a BJ is oral sex you guys do understand that it's still a type of sex right ? It's just non penetrative sex

I'm pretty sure having any kind of sex makes you not a virgin, but to go strictly based off of the dictionaries definition of "virginity"; A person who has never had intercourse, first we have to analyze this. A question that may come to mind is, what exactly does the dictionary define as "intercourse", which it says that it's short for "sexual intercourse", going further there is no direct "definition" of sexual intercourse, but looking at the first definition of "Sexual Intercourse" by Merriam Webster, it says a heterosexual intercourse involving penetration of the vagina, by the penis. But don't leave just yet, as there's more, there Merriam Webster dictionary ALSO states that it can be intercourse (anal or oral) that does NOT involve penetration of the vagina by the penis, so which is it Merriam Webster? We must go deeper, going farther doing the rabbit hole, we find the oxford dictionary, which claims that sexual intercourse involves sexual contact between two individuals involving penetration, and other dictionaries agree with this as well as it's not only more inclusive, but more broad and easier to understand. Conclusion, if you have sexual intercourse involving penetration, you are not a virgin.
