Mako was circumcised by Lightning Bolt Zolt in a traditional Fire Nation circumcision ritual not long after being taken under his wing. Mako was not the first fireboy Zolt has taken under his wing and christened into one of the ancient Fire ritual. Zolt performed Mako’s circumcision expertly, ensuring a handsome result to match his handsome face. Once finished he ordered Mako to hold out his hand. Mako obeyed. Zolt dropped the severed foreskin into Mako’s open hand. “No burn it boy to become a man. Let your Firebending consume your foreskin.” Mako ignites his detached foreskin without hesitation. The two watched the flame until the last bit of Mako’s foreskin was consumed. Zolt jolts upward. “Now get up son. Time to train.” “What?
