ok, i made this piece, and i wanna say something, i was not inspired by what twitter said at all. i watched the movie and came to my own interpretation of Gwen based on the stuff i saw in the film and related to. i don't believe there is anything wrong with ppl interpreting a character differently, and if you are one of those ppl that wastes their time telling ppl that she can't be interpreted as trans, then you do you, but i'd greatly recommend reflecting on why you care so much in the first place.

I mean nothing wrong with interpreting a character in a way which could be true or reinterpreting them in any way you want. As long as you're consistent and tolerant of interpretations different from your own.

Are people still using that Miles n*zi flag thing? Look, no one’s saying Gwen is trans because she wears white and pink. People say she’s trans because she has a trans pride flag on her wall, and her dad has one on his jacket.

You cant be an ally if you hang flags up, you HAVE to be trans. And no people were saying on twitter that because her suit has pink, white and blue, that clearly means she's trans.

It's not that you can't be an ally if you have flags, it's just that its exceedingly rare for someone to specifically have the trans flag in their private home if they're not trans. Most allies will put a flag in a public space to show their support, and even then it's usually one of the rainbow flag variations not the trans flag specifically.
