Shh, there's no need to cry. It's okay, I understand. You still love him, and you always will. You've already met and lost the love of your life. You can't replace that, and I'm not trying to. This is just companionship. You aren't betraying him by being happy, or by having someone to keep you company - I don't think he'd want you to live your life with nothing to look forward to but the afterlife. I'm not the one you're going to spend eternity with, just this life if I'm lucky. I'm sure you had a lot of dreams for the life you wanted to have with him, and even if you can't have that, maybe I can at least try to give you something close. I just don't want you to be lonely anymore, and I don't want you to ever have to cry again. I guess we were rushing this a little, before you had time to process. For tonight, just let me hold you.
