Fren, please convert your works to JPEG before uploading. PNG isn't suitable for photos.

Wait, what? PNGs is far superior to JPEGs for photos. Not only can PNGs handle up to 16 million colours, support better transparency layers, there's also the discussion of lossless vs lossy."Tell me you know absolutely nothing about image formats without telling me," pretty much sums up that first comment.

Even at 90% compression JPEG artifacts are undetectable unless you zoom in very closely. Let alone 95%. And image size reduces SIGNIFICANTLY when converting to JPEG. JPEG is best suited for photos, PNG is best suited for text and infographics. This is common knowledge. And, of course, photos don't need transparent layers.

Literally the only thing JPEG has over PNG is EXIF data. So, sure, if you're taking pics with a camera, knock yourself out. JPEG, in every other scenario, is an inferior high resolution format.

Note: I am not the artist. That probably has to be spelled out for you, since you're this dumb.

This picture is 5.8 megabytes. If converted to JPEG at 95% compression, its size would be reduced to 1.2 megabytes. And, once again, JPEG artifacts are undetectable unless you zoom in very, VERY closely. There is no reason to keep photos like this in PNG. They should be converted to JPEG before uploading to save bandwidth.

Anon2 should watch ExplainingComputers' video on image formats. It explains pretty well why JPEG is superior to PNG when it comes to storing photos (and game screenshots).
