see now this is a great example of why more detail does not always make it better. the earlier pages had flater colouring, with simpler faces and rarely defined muscles, and it looked super cute and hot. from this page on, the extra detail and harsher shadows turn the small imperfections that made the first pages cute into kind of gross misproportions
