the bond between rider and dragon is supposed to be one that binds the two beings on a level more intimate and personal than any of us can understand. dragon and rider are supposed to be more one being than two, and as such, treat each other with the respect they would treat themselves. this is the stuff that makes me want to claw out my eyes after seeing, the inheritance cycle remains my favorite book series ever, even after several rereads. hopefully, you have not ruined the books for anyone other than yourself.

Honestly, Ive mostly just heard bad things about the movie, but I like dragon stuff, so with these stellar recommendations, I might go take a gander at the books.
