Sure, its now cannon. That doesn't make it good, and it doesn't make us care. There is a reason modern marvel comics is failing and it is exactly because they put such an emphasis on crap like that.

Actually it's barely even canon. They just say it's that and never bother to show it. Basically JK Rowling and Dumbledore being gay all over again: reveal something to draw attention to diversity, and then never bother to actually deliver.
