Bobbi is misfortunate. Things never seem to go her way. This time she got burglared.
She'd been agonizingly tied to the max, and they'd found the things she'd hid in her bedside drawer and those too were used on her and turned to the max. As a punishment for trying to fight, the burglars attached most of a packet of clothes pins to her. Then they'd left her in the dark.
Her night was a misery, and as the morning came she had practically made no progress on any form of escape. Her taped hands could only flop uselessly behind her. Trying to call for help only ended up with her gagging on the three pairs of her own dirty underwear and huge rubber ball that they've stuffed in her mouth.
She could barely think anymore. She was dizzy and utterly rubbed raw, and close to just giving up.
But as the suns rays lit up her room she saw, tossed away in a corner - hope. The burglars had left her phone. It was an old model, so they probably didn't think they'd get much for it.
Now she's spent all morning laboriously nudging her chair forward. Snorting sobs and half choking through her clogged nose, every breath a struggle. Each small movement an almost impossible task, requiring her to throw her entire body against the strangling ropes. And the summer sun has turned from a saviour to torturer as the room has heated up into a sweltering sauna. Dripping, pouring with sweat that steams up around her in the heat she struggles on.
She doesn't think about how she'll manage to use the phone. Doesn't think about how she'll even be able to pick it up or dial. She can't think much at all, forcing herself to focus on getting forward and ignoring everything else. Because she knows it's her only hope.
Normally she might rely on her roommate to come home. but she's gone away on a road trip and won't be back until Monday at the earliest. It's Saturday morning. The thought of being stuck in this misery for the entire weekend sends her frantically thrashing forward. Using the last of her power to just make it those few extra feet. Towards her only chance.
Of course Bobbi, in her groggy, puffy eyed and dazed state, also doesn't think about the fact that her old phone never seems to be able to retain it's battery power for very long anymore...

Valentina, however, has thought of this. In fact she'd planned it. The thought of Bobbi discovering it makes her laugh, as she watches Bobbi's straining on her laptop screen. She's hidden the cameras in the apartment well, and has been enjoying the show all night. She'd told Bobbi she was going road tripping with her girlfriends, but in actually they'd bought rope and tape, drinks and snacks and set-up for a fun weekend of watching her roommate suffer. Masked in the night, it hadn't been hard to subdue Bobbi, who had no idea who the burglars actually were.. It wasn't the first time they'd done it, and it wouldn't be the last. Valentina had a harddrive full of videos of Bobbi's misfortunes. They'd kept the mess they created in the "burglary" localized to Bobbi's room, of course. And when she felt she deserved it, Valentina would drive over and release poor Bobbi, to her friends eternal gratitude. But that rescue wouldn't come for a long while yet...
