No it actually true, there an old podcast interview with him admitting that he wanted Kitty with Remy. He went into full detail that Remy was supposed to be one to train her in ways of a ninja instead of Logan, except Marvel at the time did not wanted that to happen so they push for the X-men animated series and hook Remy up with Rogue to squash his chance. Why you think at a time she ended up with Pete Wisdom who was basically a British Gambit.
