MM, I think this is a play off the Roman Charity motif common in Classical art referring to the story of Cimon and his daughter Pero, sometimes colloquially also referred to as Roman Charity. When Cimon is imprisoned and sentenced to starve, she visits him and breast feeds him so he may live. Of course the sexualization of the story comes in the centuries since.
1
