it would be pretty funny if a stranger on the internet talked about their opinions on the comparison of blacula 1 and 2 on the internet. that would be funny. luckily nobody would ever do th-blacula 1 was a fun film and everything, but blacula 2 is my personal preference since it gave more time to the vampire characters than the humans (Lisa excluded). we got to see a little glimpse of how they got to adapt to their new lives, although the only characters we got to see adapting were swiftly shut down by Mamuwalde's mind control vampire power or whatever. i dont have a problem with fleshing out the human characters or anything because that's obviously what they'd want to do for the first film, but i really like the decision to focus on Mamuwalde and his vampires for the sequel, which does lead to a feeeeewww more cheesy shots than its predecessor, but at least they're interesting. not to say blacula I was uninteresting or the human characters were boring or anything because i dont think that. if there was anything they could have done to make blacula II better then it would probably be spending more time focusing on Willis and Denny. maybe just one or two more minutes? or better yet, using that time for a few of the other vampires. like Gloria. the scene wherein Gloria and Lisa meet was one of my favourite from the film. the slow buildup of the scene was really cool, and a little bit of it still carries on to when Mamuwalde comes inside. more moments spent on Gloria would be cool. especially if it was before her will dissipated. i think Gloria being one of the will-less vampires would have been better if Mamuwalde turned her into one AFTER she tried to succ Lisa. more scenes like that. this is under the assumption they didnt take any scenes out for the TV versions, though, since those are what I've seen. they were on ScreenPix Voices the other day.
