@Anon1 A few points:

A.) A quick look on the artists page (ahgot) shows that he/she frequently uses anime characters.

B.) Light was frequently mentioned as very handsome in Death Note canon, so him being any combination of "average, inconspicuous, or skeevy" is unlikely.
