I like how during the game nobody even acknowledges the fact that the NCR, an army with pretty decent assault gear and weaponry, had trouble with a group of people who used football pads for armor and used machetes over guns because they thought guns always jam at the worst moment.

Not always so unbelievable. Look at Vietnam, a vastly inferior enemy gave the United States so much trouble.

I can see your point on that one anon. But the gear difference in Vietnam wasn't as bad as the gear difference between the NCR and Legion, but you're right. Strange things can happen. That last comment was me by the way. I accidently clicked post as anon and then clicked post comment when I tried to fix it.

Yeah, true. And I guess the 'tactics' in Fallout aren't like Vietnam either. So yeah, it's a bit more unfeasible in Fallout.

Kind of the same with the Red Faction games. Rebels with virtually no resource take down government backed military. I see your point definitely. :D

Also in Vietnam the VC had the tunnel system mapped out and could leave any battle in a flash and didn't have one true HQ, mean while, the Legion set up camp right across the river from an NCR base. They could have just sent some troops across the river, but then I guess that would've kinda ruined the whole game.

Yep, we think alike it seems. This happens in so many games, the underdog has a headquarters sitting out in the open. Their enemy could just send a fraction of their force and wipe them out.

Devs need to learn world building. :P
