Being attracted by pheromones is not odd at all.
Its the biggest reason for why you get aroused around your partner.
A womans "juices", sweat, and even saliva, all contain pheromones that will make a man with a responsive chemistry want her.
Of course there is also a fetish, a sexual connection made psychologically, for the whole thing with smell, but if you do have a responsive chemistry to any man or woman, their pheromones will make you feel attracted to them.. And a physical labor even increases the potency of said pheromones.

Personally I love the smell, and taste, of my partners. Smelling their hair, natural odor, and tasting their saliva or other "juices" is always a huge turn on.. I honestly hope everyones respective partner turns them on in such a purely physical way.
So its not only "liking the smell of sweat", its about liking the smell of a specific persons sweat, or at least their chemical compound.
(Of course not even talking about any psychological attraction/connection)
