Wrong. In the original version of Final Fight, Poison and Roxy are both female. Capcom later changed them to transsexuals in later versions to convince people that you weren't beating up women (you know, the whole "violence against women" thing). Some versions even have them replaced by male counterparts named Billy and Sid.

I wish people would actually look this up before starting an argument over it. At this point it's common knowledge.

Actually, Poison was always transgender character, which dates back to the concept art.
