boiling it kills off the bacteria.but you can use rubbing alcohol and wash it real good or use sanitary wipes.that equally does a better job.
to be fair tampons bleach the cotton and has a chemical called dioxin.and also fragrants.so basically youre putting bleached cotton and fragrants into your vagina.and you run the risk of toxic shock syndrome of you leave it in for too long.The cup is made of a medical grade silicone.
