wait no, of the tag already has more than 10 images you shouldn't change the tags/add tags that are similar.
Only 10 tags and you figure it's set in stone at that point? Where did that rule come from?
There are a few things to consider when changing a tag. For character names especially you have to be DEAD SURE that you are spelling it correctly. This can be hard to find out considering some characters are very obscure and their names may appear with various spellings...sometimes even various spellings from official sources! I've found one of the best methods is to look at the series' wiki. The series wiki are often made by a series' most passionate fans and they usually go out of their way to research such bland things like name spellings. It didn't take long for me to find this wiki entry which spells her name as "chocola"
nekopara.wikia.com/wiki/ChocolaOf course even wikis can be wrong or incomplete...especially with more obscure series. BUT it's a great place to start, and I've often found them to be ultimately correct even after investigating other sources.
Secondly, you have to check on what other boorus (a booru is basically a site like this one) are doing...specifically Gelbooru and Danbooru. Why? Because the bot will be posting images from these sites, and many people (regrettably) copy/paste tags from these sites as well. So many times it can be difficult to deviate from their preferred names for a character because even if you dare to change it the old name will be constantly pouring in from these sources. So rather than fight the constant battering it's sometimes best to let it be. In this case however...both sites seem to be using "chocola_(sayori)" over "chocolat_(sayori)".
Thirdly, you have to check aliases! Basically we don't really use the aliasing system anymore, but there are a few old aliases that haunt us to this very day (kasumi_(pokemon) for instance). Basically if a character's name is aliased you HAVE to use the aliased name because using the other version will not show up in a search. This is because searching for either name will search for the aliased name.
For example: If "mike" is aliased to "mark" searching "mike" will instead search for "mark", and obviously searching "mark" will also search "mark" so there is no longer any way to search for "mike"! So if you change "mark" tag back to a "mike" tag it's basically as good as deleting it from the search. So you have to be careful that you aren't reverting a "mark" to a "mike" so to speak.
All that's needed to check this is take the tag...in this case it's "chocola_(sayori)" and type it into the alias search. We can see it actually does return a result:
rule34.xxx/index.php?page...=list&search=chocola_(sayori)
But the result is highlighted in white, meaning it's unapproved, and thus you don't have to worry about it...although even if it was approved it would be supporting the tag we want to use anyways.
So having done all of this it's pretty damn safe to say the tag should be "chocola_(sayori)" and we can change the tag.
