Pokémon Gym/League
Has anyone ever thought what it'd be like to be a gym leader in the Pokémon universe? What type you'd use, what your gym would be like, your team set up?
Well if so, here's a place to share these ideas!
I'm really curious to see what you guys can come up with, and this might even spark a roleplay or two.
I have quite a few, but my personal favorite is my ghost gym.
You enter an old, decrepit mansion by the sea and almost immediately get a creepy vibe. It's extremely dark inside, but you can make out a few anchors hanging and laying about and a lone chandelier swaying overheard. The brightest part of the main hall is where moonlight shines down on a silver and purple sarcophagus. Upon approaching it, the coffin comes to life and attacks, revealing itself to be a shiny Cofagrigus! You throw out your 1st Pokémon and handle the bulky Pokémon with relative ease. Just as you're about to drop your guard a Revenankh bursts from inside the now fainted Cofagrigus, and a man in a hood emerges from the shadows. Without a word he commands the mummy to attack, but just like the one before it, Revenankh is defeated. You wait for the mysterious trainer to grab a Pokéball, but instead a fire blast drops from the chandelier you failed to identify as a Pokémon. Once you've dealt with the frail sweeper, one of the anchors attacks, felling your monster in a single shot. Just like the last 3, you defeat Dhelmise, and now you're starting to catch on to this trainer's tactics and are even able to avoid Decidueye's sinister arrow raid, making the fight easier. You've now beaten 5 of the mysterious trainer's Pokémon, but one remains: his signature Pokémon and partner, Dusknoir. It's a long, painful fight, and you have to use quite a few items, but you prevail and as Dusknoir returns to its ball, the room is bathed in candlelight and the stranger removes the hood and reveals himself as the gym leader, before giving you the badge you fought so hard for.
