So in light of the odd bullshit threads, how about one we can actually use to get to know each other better? Similar to the how old are you/etc threads, but more in depth.

How do you live? What kind of actual real life do you live? No need to get too personal. What kind of work do you do? How do you spend free time? What kinds of things do you do with friends?

I'll go first.
I live with roommates who I also work with at the local card shop. We handle shipping and process incoming and outgoing orders. Though one roomy is getting ready to move out, and an old friend of mine is excited to move herself and her boyfriend in. We're a laid back bunch. I also do videos on YouTube and streaming on twitch for fun, mostly pokemon. I have some weekly meet ups with a few circles of friends, and that's my life in a nutshell.

I am a carpenter apprentice that basically gets put into a four year program of school and actual work with good pay! I have my own place that I go splitsies with my sister. I'm also very laid back and a big introvert.

Dandy, that's pretty cool that you're an actual carpenter apprentice. I've been learning a bit from my uncle who's a master carpenter and it's pretty fun actually.

As for my own life, I'm an aspiring writer, but I commonly get sidetracked and can't focus on a single project for too long. Lately my grandmother has taken a turn for the worse so my mother and I are taking turns watching her around the clock. I'm a huge video game and anime nerd and I really want to start a YouTube channel for music and let's plays. That's some basic information about me. Since everyone else kept it pretty short I decided to do the same. :p

I play vidya games and make 3D models, I work as a bartender at a fuckin generic as shit nightclub. Not a lot happens in my life besides visiting my romantic partner from time to time!

Okay, so in real-life i'm a social worker from germany...i study social work as well as i work in that sector. I live alone, am single right now (guess that explains my high porn-consume-.-^^) and after all i'm quite the nerd.
I like video games, reading and pen & paper games (ah, let's face it...i like games in general.) just as much as i love porn.^^
On the other side i'm also into diving, politics and simply good conversations.*shrug*

Oh man, I'm usually a bit hesitant to talk about things that could give away my real identity but... I mean, it's not like you guys care anyways, right? :P

I'm a biochemical engineering student, and although I earn some money as a freelance writer from time to time, it's not nearly enough that I'd be comfortable calling it a "real job". I recently moved out of my parents' house into an apartment with my roommate, and most of the time that I'm not either studying or hanging out with my friends is dedicated to videogames and reading. Or having sex. Hopefully lots of sex.

Lol chill? That's what i'm told. It's cool seeing people from not only around the world, but with genuine, different real lives. I don't think anything said is enough to peg some person with a specific identity, but it does make you all seem more human and less like the sex obsessed animals you expect on a porn site.

Duuuuuude. That's awesome. I assume you play at least one tcg.

I know how to pasty the big three, at least on a basic level. But pokemon standard format is my go to. I used to run a mean Charizard ex deck (flash fire #12, with combustion blast) that got me top four in several store tournaments (unsanctioned). And until the furious fist rotation, I also used a nasty Noivern deck that annoyed the hell out of people.

I just got the most awkward nerd boner... I have a really annoying steel deck that revolves around Mega Metagross. None of my friends could beat it and I even let them use some of my cards to fashion a fire deck and I have an unlimited dark deck to really piss my friends off.

I'm fucking unemployed guy who want to have a better careers and a better place to live with good neighbors and smell the morning dew in the morning air. That's how i want to live, and all of that is not true.

I mean, it just sounds like you're in a good place in life right now. I usually think "making a job out of the things you like" sounds pretty bad, because it's essentially tuning things you find fun into work, but you make a living on something you enjoy and you seem to enjoy it ^^ Also, your roommates sound like really nice people!

I honestly felt better when my roommates filtered out and I lived alone. I never had a good experience and always felt like roommate hunting was by far the best way to come into contact with the worst people.

One felt the need to prioritize himself in everything the house had. Needed to do laundry? Dumped my wet clothes on the dirty basement floor so he could use it right away. Needed to eat? Took my food out of the oven so he can use it. They sound like little things but imagine this happening over 6 months and tack on LOTS of other crappy things like that happening.

My second roommate was all smiles and charm until he signed the lease and became Nightmare 5000. Smashing beer bottles across the kitchen floor when his hockey team lost, inviting over dregs of society and trying to convince me to "shoot up" some good stuff. Coming into the house at 4am in the morning either on something or drunk and pissing in the bathtub or floor because it was "funny."

My very last roommate was.. unhygienic to put it simply. After two months I had to confront him about plates that never came out of his room, the fact he never did laundry the entire time he was here and that he had never used the shower once and the.. odour was getting a bit much.

It sucks because I scrutinized these people and called their landlords directly (going to the building in person if the phone call sounded sketchy).

On the bright side though, I've heard that finding a good roommate is such a great living experience but I don't think I'll risk it again ^^"
