(suggestion) "which tag led most people to the picture" stats
See, let's say you have some post with XY tags: rule34.xxx/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=2297491

There'd be a 'stats' button which would show which tags were people searching when they clicked on the picture, e.g.:

"Overwatch": 59%
"Tracer": 13%
"cunnilingus": 9%
"female orgasm": 4%
Other tags: 15%

Sometimes I'm really curious what brought people to some pictures... e.g. this: rule34.xxx/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1440023

Top #10 rated picture, 520 votes, pretty much just a tame sketch with 10 tags, like what?

there's too many factors to consider

aside from tag searches you can also get to pictures from peoples' favorites, a direct link, the comments page...

also no one really cares, and even if people did care it wouldn't be implemented anyway

6. I have this great idea for the site/forum to make it better! where can I tell you?

- There are no plans at present to change the site software because we are not allowed to change it due to copyright I'm afraid. We have many good ideas however if we ever have the money to make our own.

No need to be so rude, it was just a suggestion :(

If she was rude its only because we get these suggestions almost daily and basically they quickly degenerate to: "Oh fuck you why dont you do something for us!". Never mind that mods tag and well..moderate.

Its nothing personal but rather a drawn out fatigue of these things

She wasn't even rude. That's such a niche and hard-to-program feature, there's no way that would get put in, especially with that part of the FAQ to be kept in mind.

Alright alright, I was just curious.

Slight offtopic though, and no offense meant, but how on EARTH does some accumulate 26-damn-k favorites?

Now forgive my lack of math skills but doesn't that involve spending like, a lot of time? A bit too much, maybe? :D

Being around a lot. Pressing the favorites button hardly takes a lot of effort.

Holy damn though. Just to think what all one could've learned in the time of making 26k favs tho. You could play some Mozart sonata on piano or smth :D

Or you could've masturbated. Much more fun imo.

#HashtagWorth, but that's one hell of a monkey spanking dedication

Oh, slightly late happy 'birthday' then?

But 173k favs... It's fascinating until you realize you need to click an image to add it to favorites, so even if you do it for giggles (for some reason?), they realy had to spend some sadly large portion of their lives here :(

*scratches head*
wasn't WebM support added relatively recently? also the chibi image in the page header, and the page encoding bug got patched a few days ago.

so i'm confused about this "not allowed to change it" clause; how do these other changes get in?

the webm support i would assume is a case of the site software itself being updated to a new version (gelbooru, which runs on the same software, gained webm support about a year earlier)

as for the other stuff i'm just gonna say slayerduck works in mysterious ways

either that or the FAQ was written a long time ago and hasn't been changed to reflect more recent things.
