I stumbled upon this artist and thought more people should be fapping/shlicking to these pieces, especially the digimon ones.

Yeah, I like his stuff a lot too. I think a lot of people are turned off by sketchiness in art though, like "oh, that's not finished, I don't want to look at that." What? What is "finished"?

It's a really arbitrary and stupid prejudice to hold...I've seen a lot of sketchy art that looks better than most finished art, and I've seen plenty of "finished" art that looks like it belongs in a fucking dumpster...probably because they skipped sketching and layout and went straight to lines and color.

Yeah i don't get that either, I can understand if it's just lines and no real texture and shape to it, but stuff like Minacream or similar is Aokay

I don't understand why he can't take an extra 10 minutes to erase some of the extraneous lines though. the pictures would be much more pleasing to look at.

I've done that before and it doesn't really work...it makes a piece lose a lot of its energy. If you're gunna do a quick sketchy style stick to it, if you're gunna do clean lines it's better to just draw new lines over the sketch rather than trying to clean up the sketch.
