Tag problem
Some gifs tagged as"gif" doesmçnt shown when write gif into search bar.

mm, it seems searching "gif animated" and "animated" both yield an identical set of results. must be some aliasing feature

WebM is another video format, like GIF. The main differences are that it supports audio and 24-bit colour.

Yep, "animated_gif" is aliased to "animated"

rule34.xxx/index.php?page...t&search=animated_gif

Honestly "gif" shouldn't even be a tag. It's just a file type, and we don't tag file types around here that's just silly. It isn't like a jpeg image has a "jpeg" tag.

The only reason we tag WEBM is because you know a WEBM file will be animated, might have sound, generally higher-quality than a GIF, etc...on the other hand GIF means nothing because a GIF can be static or animated...a GIF doesn't HAVE to be animated.

So long story short...search "animated" if you want to see animations...if you're on mobile or just don't want to see the WEBMs for whatever reason just search "animated -webm"
