I've used 'Bio-Oil' (bio-oilusa.com) for this purpose a few times
It's actually really good; feels nice on the skin, even better than various other oils i've tried
Probably expensive though; dunno, I didn't buy it *shrug*

Anyway, I think that I will try the whipped cream and the olive oil. I appreciate the suggestions.

And yes, saliva can be an excellent lubricant, but it does dry very quickly. Be aware of that. This is the same reason why K9 jellies are oil-based which dries slowly instead of being water-based which dries quickly. I have tried both types as commercial products (K9 and Trojan brands specifically), and I found that I don't really have a preference for one or the other. Most of the time when masturbating, I don't use any lube at all and just enjoy the friction.
