I'm new to the site, just joined today. Can anyone tell me if I can upload an edit of a picture. I can reference/site the original pictures location [ie this site/pixiv/etc] or artist. I can also place "edit" or "photoshop" in the tag. The edits would be good quality--- no trash. I can also provide the original too.
I do know some sites want strictly uploads from another URL and any edit is frowned upon. I just want to do the right thing.

edits are generally fine as long as they're good quality and you don't try to claim the work is solely your own

Hope you are a moderator. If I upload a pic that is edited from a pic not on your site... do you want me to upload the original with a pixiv link if I can? I am a HUGE fan of Mitsudomoe [tv show AND manga}. It is still a standard dojinshi/fanbook big seller in Japan [at least two months ago last I was there]. Most of the edits change a pic into a scene with the girl characters. Mostly explicit, some questionable.
Also, lastly, hope you can help... after a couple of uploads, could I contact you to see if it looks clear? I have read about "artifact" and need to verify they are clear. Thanks. Please let me know.

After reading what you sent, it looks like edits of a CARTOON is okay as long as it is good quality and same size or maybe smaller.
Do you think I should include an upload of the original if it does not exist on rule34? And of course site it's source.

Thanks a million. Editing actually takes more than cutting and pasting heads. There's a lot of time spent in it. I just don't want it to go to waste. I noticed the site has very little on Mitsudomoe. Plus the 4 responses to the tag "marui_mitsuba" are really..well...you take a look. I would like to see better for the fans.

The rule against unauthorised edits is to prevent editing original art work, big companies allow fan art of their work, or editing of their work, smaller artists generally do not (sure there are some who do, but you need to link proof that it's OK from them), so we respect their wishes.

One only has to read the terms of service on the forum sticky, no need to contact a moderator.
