i don't even understand, you have to right click and open the image separately to get the i2.pixiv link which doesn't work but requires more bloody work.

I agree...people should pay attention to their source links and check if they actually work!

HOWEVER, I notice that the bot links like that quite a bit, and you're not really going to reason with the bot through a forum post lol. I honestly don't know how that thing works or how to change it.

As long as we're ranting I want to do one about Tumblr links. This shit doesn't help me:

Because at least from those links I can click around and explore the artist's other works. From that first link I'm literally just stuck on that page with nowhere to go.

It's not our fault. It's to do with the way source links are stored at Danbooru. The link on a Danbooru post links to the Pixiv page just like it should but the data stored in the source field is a link to the image itself. Their site modifies that image link to create the page link.

Example:
danbooru.donmai.us/posts/2310985
Source link (on main page): www.pixiv.net/member_illu...um&illust_id=55968231
Source data (in tag history): i4.pixiv.net/img-original.../18/41/30/55968231_p0.png

We end up copying the source data which links directly to the image instead of the page and Pixiv don't seem to allow direct access to their images.

Pixiv Updated their site. Old URLs will still work however the new link for works is

www.pixiv.net/whitecube/user/1250940/illust/51307981

A user/artist number is 1st then a link to the image is on the far right.

If you don't know the artist number you can just copy and paste a known url in your browser and replace the image number in it. It will automatically go to the image posting even if the artist number is different.
