I think it's censorship to deactivate down votes.
There are reasons to justify these actions (down voting).
Yeah there are bots that randomly down vote things but if you look at these posts they mostly look horrible anyway.

Most privately owned sites have stuff they don't allow from Reddit to Facebook to Pornhub, it's a necessity of running a well ordered privately owned site. They can run voting because they have the money to have sophisticated algorithms that detect fraudulent votes, we don't!

The voting system was out of date and easily exploited, so we disabled the downvoting, if you think that is censorship, that is merely your point of view and really is none of our concern here on this broken things topic, what we do intentionally is not broken.

Also if we look at those unjustly downvoted they where absolutely not horrible most of them, there is no truth in that, they would have been removed if they where, it's just some don't like it and they should stop looking at what they profess to dislike, or blacklist the tag of what they profess to dislike rather than complaining or exploiting the downvoting which is all levels of futility and a waste of time and space.

Yeah at first they where using them carefully so it just looked like normal dislikes, I held out for a while in the hopes that other measures would contain it and maybe they would give up...

But as they started to do silly numbers of downvotes and it got worse, I felt it time to report on it and see what can be done to rectify the issue, I think cutting downvotes was the only way, the only other way would be to stop images and comments being hidden, but even then you would have silly downvote numbers that would upset people.

Ohohoho, man... the butthurt, petulant asswipe who set up a bot to mass-downvote Bload Esefo's trolling "white male dom/black fem sub" pics must be screeching with impotent rage right about now. Those pics were downvoted into the negative hundreds by the bot...turn all those downvotes into upvotes and add them to the upvotes left by fans... Bload's work is probably gonna be in the 100 top-rated images for a very long time...

The bot is down again. Hasn't posted anything since the 17th.

Also anything with Hinata Hyuuga now will be upvoted, cause there is someone doing it to a majority of pictures with her in it.

The problem was a massive downvote wave by bots. Now downvotes, bots cease to function. Simple math.

while i do agree that disabling downvotes was a reasonable course of action,
i do fear that they might respond with more destructive vandalism tactics
like editing tags and sources
