[Game] A new "game maker"
Hey. Maybe you guys remembered me when I was talking about this game I was working on: www.playlewd.com

I decided to change direction a bit and focus on the engine. You can read more about it at www.creightr.com

The tl;dr is you can instantly launch a web game, and even work together with others on a project.

It's very flexible, and you can make rule34 games with it.
You could just make a simple world to RP with others in, maybe with some NPCs to.
You could recreate your favorite table top rules like from D&D or Pathfinder, but with smutty rule34 stuff.
Or just as simple as some choose your own adventure, like a web comic that's not linear. Could do some cool stuff with Source Film Maker made gifs or webms~
And anything else, really.

If you have some questions that the site doesn't cover, let me know.
I want to do a kickstarter so I can purchase the servers so anyone is able to make the game they want for free. Hopefully this month, if there seems to be enough interest and hype. Otherwise I may have to wait until after the holidays.

What is the not-tl;dr for people who aren't stupid and want to know more about it?

Is your pre-alpha supposed to just be character creation, or should there be real gameplay? I saw nothing but a black screen, a big red "Pre-Alpha" message and an fps counter without a number after I created a character.

The not-tl;dr is mostly on that website, creightr.com
More in depth would be, well, documentation to come.

What do you want to know more about? Like, how the engine works from a technical level, how you make games with it(kind of explained with tools and plugins on that site), or what?

It should have given you a message that your webGL renderer failed to load. Did it not? Refreshing should fix it in any case. Or maybe your browser doesn't support webGL? If it's an update to date one, it should. It should have also given you an error that your browser doesn't support webGL, in that case.

I'll just go to the website.

For whatever reason, a second attempt to start it worked.

I didn't want to dump a huge wall of text here.

Firefox WebGL seems to like to crash on load sometimes with no callback, afaik. I haven't looked at it much in a while.
Things just aren't entirely bug free at the moment, too. :p

Using Chrome, actually. I quite enjoyed that. It has a lot of potential.

Sounds interesting... I have a ton of ideas for games.

I do have one remark, and that's that I was mildly annoyed by the spawn rate of the plant girl. After the third time I hust started skipping through her dialogue. Movement is also a tad slow.

There is a timer that keeps her coming up TOO much, but it might be too short for some's taste.

LEWD definitely lacks content, and the plant girl coming up a lot is mostly a consequence of that. It's just about as much as the average novel right now. I wanted a way to make them hibernate and become rapey again, but the content just isn't there.

But i'd like to focus on Creightr. :x LEWD is going to come a little later.

Yeah, that plant girl spawns way too much.

Hm. There is a timer where she won't pop up again for a player after showing up 30 seconds ago. Though it goes by the time it opens, not closes. I changed it to 60s.

I realize now I really need to add in an "onDestroy" event to objects where I could put that timer. That'd work much better.

There's two different links at the start of the original post.
