Community vote: To import (tags) or not to import
We have tools available to pull tags from other booru's if they match the MD5 of what we got. We can either sync them completely so they match 1:1 (i never used this) or only add tags that they have and we don't. Last time i ran this i gotten some complaints about bad tags popping up. This topic is to discuss whenever i should or should not run this tool again, is it worth the bad apples?

My personal opinion is, yes. Because i rather see images overtagged then undertagged but i'd like to see some community opinion about this. Especially to those who tag a lot.

P.S this topic/import method has nothing to do with images added by the bot user.

I'd say yes to adding new tags, but after the aliases issues are sorted out first (if possible). That way many of the tags we don't use will be changed to ones we do use when the import takes place.

1:1 matching will undo a lot of the tagging efforts that have been made here so if you use this feature it would be better to only add new tags.

I think it's better to have more tags, even if it means dealing with bad tags. If it helps someone find what they're looking for I don't see why we shouldn't use it.

What Gloom said.
Adding more tags is good, but crippling our own tags just because people on other sites aren't tagging properly is bad.

More tags will assist in the search for images, bad tags are a problem, but the ability for users to find images better is more important.

It's easier to edit out bad tags than it is to add new ones.
