Okay, after a week of trial and error, I got skyrim to work in VR with the following setup:
- Shinecon 2 (glorified google cardboard, €30)
- my PC (GTX 970 is the most important bit, along with a 3.0 usb port)
- A good and long USB cable (2 meters)
- HTC one m8 (Any phone with tracking works, too)
- Trinus VR (steaming app for pc / phones, €9 for the full version)

Its honestly more amazing than you think it might be, for the cost of €39, assuming you already have all the components.
