every mainstream genre has good songs, theres no single genre or group of similar ones that i specifically only listen to. but my favorite ones are rock and metal. my favorite songs are the ones that have a mix of screaming and actual singing. like the songs one step closer, by myself and lying from you by linkin park. or erase my scars and cold by evans blue. and an awesome guitar riff partnered with some kickass drums can by itself make a song awesome. theres a ton of songs on my phone that i got just because of the instrumental alone.

I´m a fan of classical music, classic rock and music made for movies.

Specifically the first and the last one for their portrayal of grandeur or their musical interpretation of characters or actions. Currently i highly value the sherlock holmes theme from the RDJ movies since it basically puts the entire character into a orchestral score.

Back in the days they didn't have the technology/skills to make the really hard, clean, broad-spectrum basslines and drum sounds that we hear in modern DNB, but I think these artists really made the most of the techniques and resources available to them , managing to make kickarse tracks that still hold up years later.
