$80,000 for the map tilesets for this game. O.o It can't cost that much to do. Just how big is this game going to be?

Oh well I don't want to just simple sprite tilesets. I want painted backgrounds that actually look like something. That's a few hundred each for dozens of areas.

Any yeah, it is hard to get people to cough up money for it. :p
But it already works better and has more potential than these other text games. It just needs content.

So you are going to do just a since picture for each map? And have a lot of small maps, or what?

The engine actually supports tilesets perfectly fine. It's just I would rather have no art than bad art.

For 80k it's to have backgrounds that look like Shadowrun Returns.

Having graphics that look worse than imagination sucks.

Plus, keep in mind, the main thing is that it's a text adventure game. :p You get off to the writing and kinky stuff.

Don't need a millionair.
Just pledge a few bucks, and encourage your friends to.
But if you can find a porn crazed millionaire, that works too.

$15k isn't that much money.
Most smut games are bad because people don't pay for them. :p

It might take a few years for the pledges to get up too some of those numbers. I'm sure the people making pledges would rather have some graphics that look something like this -> lunar.lostgarden.com/uploaded_images/ExteriorTest-760306.jpg Than to have nothing at all. Just a boring blank white background.

It got over $2500 in the first 48 hours.
You could see if you friends want to help pledge~ If it gets to $24,000 there will be portrait art for the NPCs. That's not a very lofty goal.

It's very cheap for what I'm actually making, since I'm doing the programming myself and I'm good at it.

What about the UI? That could use some work.

I'm pretty sure it says on both the game, and the kickstarter, that the UI is very basic because it's a demo of an alpha :P

I updated the server to make it far easier to add content. I also added two new (empty for now) maps.

I'm going to try to do a ton of writing soon to add to it. And I wrote Lia, Kaeleigh, and Deci Bell in the starting area there for reference.

Is there any sort of content you want added? Like characters or stories. The starting area is really tame, but I want to add a lot of kinkier things.

I'm actually curious to know if there will be ambient music. Maybe even give soundtracks to the people who donate an x amount of money. Maybe even let them add their own NPC if the donation is a hefty enough amount. Stuff like that.

In short, people like getting prizes for payin up.

That would be an awesome idea.
