What's the protocol with the avoid_posting tag? I've looked all over and haven't found explicit rules on it. Some artist tags have avoid_posting in it but they don't show up on the "List of copyrighted artists/companies, do not post list.". Is avoid_posting some kind of invisible list?

If you check out the tag history, slayerduck is the one who adds the tags, or at least the system that takes in the images. From what I can tell off the bat, all the images are furry in nature, coming from furraffinity or howhever it's written. It's most likely a tag used their imported from there.

Aaaah, I think its e621's policy to auto-tag certain artists who request it with avoid_posting. If the script rips them with the tags straight from the site, it would pick those up too. That brings up another question though, what is rule34.xxx's policy on artists who have requested their art not be distributed on one site, but haven't asked another site (rule34.xxx in our case) to take them down?

Do we presume they want them kept off here too? Do we keep them up until the artists asks for them to be pulled down?

We will comply with their wishes and begin removing thier works. It's their work amd their choice, so we must comply.

Yes, we will remove the images if they request it here. There is a list of forbidden artists' works revolving watermarks and that copyright business.

So, lets assume artist A requests their art be kept off e621, but they don't, for some reason or another, ask rule34.xxx to take down their art.

Are we supposed to assume that the upload ban on artist A's art carries over to rule34.xxx even though they aren't yet on the "List of copyrighted artists/companies, do not post list." here in the forum?

Or are we permitted to upload artist A's art until they message the Admins to include their works on the 'Do Not Post' list?

tl:dr, how do we treat art from artists who are on a 'do not post' list on another site but not here?

e621 is a totally different website from Rule34, we just happen to sync to it, so whatever they choose to do is none of our concern, that includes tags, unless they are offensive.

If an artist wants images taken down from this website they just need to fill out a take down form for this website.
