Is Car Seat Headrest Midwest Emo?
I’ve been really getting into Car Seat Headrest recently and I was jamming to Fill In The Blank when I found that someone said Car Seat Headrest was Midwest Emo. Then someone said it wasn’t, then another guy said it was and another guy said it wasn’t etc

And now I am really worried because I don’t want to be known as a guy who listens to Midwest emo

I don’t wanna be known as a guy who listens to a furry in glasses screaming about girls and depression

So riddle me this, is Car Seat Headrest Midwest Emo? Please I need answers

lol why don't you wanna be known as someone who listens to midwest emo? bit specific isn't it, what do u think's wrong with it? even if it is, if you like something, you like it. nobody would care if you do like it. in fact you could find more like-minded people from engaging in communities that consume that type of music for example

I don’t know man I’m really self conscious there’s too much stigma I don’t want people to say ‘oh he’s just going through a phase’

remember that any person or people who'd care so much about what you're into and trying to make fun of you for it are just losers, simply put. waste of time for others to be critical of an individual person's interests, not that that will stop some people, but that's how that is. there's a low chance of people targetting you for being into a band like that unless you're shouting it from the high-heavens or something anyway.

this is your life, not theirs. doesn't matter if it ends up being a phase. you enjoy them @ this point and want to listen to more, you're fully allowed to bro :P you are your own human with your own interests, even they can be everchanging

Don’t think too hard about how people will perceive you; life is too short for stuff like that honestly. And if you really cared so much about it, you could always just switch your playlists whenever someone comes close to you. But my answer to your actual question is no, because being emo depends on the person themselves not the music
