A personal example: Pure pure or rabbit hole miku.
Loved the song when it came out, love the miku design in it and I even like the original animation. But god does the memeification of it just kinda depressed me. Does not help that when it really got popular, one of my rabbits died! And you can imagine that constantly seeing bunny related things did not help the grieving process go any faster.

The Ankha dance was just porn, there was no punchline nor meme to it. Even Zone was wondering why it blew up for a remake of -8's original.

Looking back, for me. The sad cat dance, I don't hate it. I just didn't see where that motivation energy came from, but I'm no animator to understand it so probably just me.

Those videos where someone pick a porn animation and have it interrumped by another character (Vergil or Jetstream Sam. sounds like an excuse to show your fav video on YT rather than to make fun of.

The sad cat dance thing is confusing to me bc I've literally never heard of it. But looking it up. Yeah I get it. It's just a shitty version of the ME!ME!ME! dance, what's the appeal?

I don't really hate many trends but there are some that annoy me.

The PPPU one was nice at first. But then it got WAY too overblown after a while. Minus8 animation can be pretty cheap but fappable. However it doesn't work for the rest.
There are some decent positions that get added in but it's very low. Not to fond of the 3d version.
Also they are super annoying and pain in the ass to find too. Not worth the effort.


I don't know if I would call them trends, but I hate the labels "coomer" and "gooner". Since they come from an annoying place, always fairly negative, and used incorrectly. Similar to how I see "incel" being used to describe lonely people. Gooner has a worst contamination because it means you have a serious porn addiction that could be dangerous to yourself or others.

It started off as someone animating a part from Chainsaw Man (this was before the anime was out). The dance it's self wasn't intended to be lewd.

The zerosuit, it's so overdone the oven it was cooked in went nuclear and it's not that sexy to begin with, i'd rather see samas in (and partially out of) the varia suit.
Rouge's outfit, no one looks as good in it as her anyway and even then i'd rather see her in something else.
