To further compound on what dolt is saying, I expect much of the hetero male interest in Lesbians and vice versa for hetero women's interest in gay men is more likely driven by their sexual attraction to the opposite sex, rather than being driven by bigotry (generally anyway).

Because the suffix phobic, meaning "an irrational fear of" whatever it is attached to, has become one of the most over- and mis-used terms in the English language. Just because someone disagrees with, is critical of, or just plain old dislikes another person or group does not mean they are irrationally afraid of them.

All I know is that people SEVERELY misuse and abuse the word "homophobic".

You can not agree with things like gay marriage, or transitioning sex, or gender dysphoria, etc, but I don't personally believe that that qualifies someone as being homophobic.

Now, if you said something like "Aw, them damn gays are a blight on our society, I can't come in contact with them, or else they might give me The Gay."
