Worst Animals or Plants Where You Live?
As title says, what are the worst animals or plants that live in the same general area where you currently live?

Where I live, wasps that grow to the sound of a grown man's thumb like to taken up residence every spring and summer around my house in Louisiana. My family and I basically need several gallons of wasp spray to even come back inside on the worst of days.

Currently: wasps, and the bees that literally live in my walls. Can't open my bedroom window anymore because of those little bastards.

Where I grew up: Red-back spiders, funnel-web spiders, huntsman spiders, bogans, brown snakes, red-belly black snakes... No wasps or bees, though.

You seriously need to report that to animal control or something, it could be those Japanese giant hornets and on top of being an invasive species their stings melt flesh (at least that's what i heard)

We've got giant hogweed in my area, which will blister the hell out of your skin if you touch it and then get exposed to sunlight. But I think our poison ivy is worse: it's more prevalent, and it doesn't require sunlight to activate.

Are you sure you're not thinking of this wasp instead:

;)

Seriously though, Japanese Giant Hornets have very distinctive coloration and are easy to differentiate from native wasp and hornet species due to their size and bright orange head. Here's Coyote Peterson getting stung by one on Brave Wilderness-

Unless there's a Louisiana wasp species I'm not aware of, my guess is Monbo is talking about Red Wasps, which can get very large but aren't particularly aggressive as wasps go.

For animal, it's tie between Moose and Bear. I say that cause of just how dangerous they can be, especially Grizzly Bears, would never want to meet one up close.

As for plants?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not a clue, I have no idea what kind of vegetation grows in my area aside from some common tree types.

Here we have:

Black Widow spiders.

Brown Recluse spiders.

Several varieties of Rattlesnakes.

Copperhead snakes.

Water Moccasin / Cottonmouth (same species, two different names) snakes.

Yellowjackets- Small hornets that build their nests underground, often near man-made structures. They are highly aggressive and quick to attack, plus they will chase you and their habit of flying close to the ground makes them difficult to see.

A few months ago I moved to a big city after living in the rural south my whole life and there's a shocking lack of animals here. It's actually very disturbing.

So since it's been getting warmer here (Germany), we've been getting one tropical animal after another, which is bringing a lot of diseases here.
My current pet of hate is the Hyalomma-Tick
So also some notable candidates:
- Asian tiger mosquito
- Yellow hairy jellyfish
- Oak processionary moth

I miss the times where boars and wolfs are dangerous or only insects and so that don't kill you woth viruses and so on. ^^"
